Your notes, your data and AI

Updated Aug 2026 · 2 min read

Your learning content is yours. Notes, recordings, reflections and tutor conversations are private to your account, and they are never used to train AI models.

Where AI is involved

  • Voice notes are transcribed and summarized automatically. That runs on your recording only, to produce your transcript and your summary.
  • Next Tutor answers using the course outline, the lesson text, and the conversation you are having.
  • The learning digest is written from your own notes and nothing else.

What is never involved

Next Tutor cannot see the videos, your screen, your files, your notes, other learners' work, or anything outside the course you are in. It says so when it matters, rather than guessing.

Aggregate insights

We look at anonymized, grouped patterns across many learners to work out which lessons need improving. That only happens where enough people are grouped together that no individual is identifiable, and it never includes the text of anyone's notes.
