Choosing your first course

Updated Jun 2026 · 2 min read

Start from your goal, not the catalog. "I want to edit videos for my business" points at one course; browsing fifty courses points at none.

A simple method

1.Name the thing you want to be able to make: a video, a website, a track, a spreadsheet that behaves.2.Open that school and pick the beginner course for the most relevant tool.3.Check the curriculum preview: if module one looks doable and module four looks exciting, it fits.4.Commit to finishing it before starting a second one. Finishing is the skill under the skill.
